Two Happy Dogs

Here are Savvy and his friend Nala at Lace Lake, one of our favorite hang-outs. Even though temperatures are still cool, the ice on the lakes is slowly melting, allowing the pups to do some splashing around and giving me some nice photo opportunities.

    How's the head shaking issue? Any resolution, prescribed treatment etc?

    Well, the actual diagnosis was that the shaking was a reaction to pain (of the supposed HOD). In my opinion the idiopathic head tremors were exactly that - idiopathic, with no known cause or treatment. And the misdiagnosed HOD, of course, was nothing more than a continuation of Sav's panosteitis. For that I gave him only aspirin, and his limping subsided relatively quickly. He has not had any tremors since February, so I'm optimistic.

    Paula,
    B said that she did swim, but just a little bit (she's like her mama - she prefers to have her feet on the ground when she's in the water!). We're taking her with us to the Outer Banks this summer, so her reaction to the ocean should be interesting. I'll keep you posted on whether or not she develops a love for swimming as the summer wears on.
